Our November 2026 slate grows as endorsements are confirmed. These are the two races where we have made our choice.
Endorsed for 2026
For Austin City Council, District 5
A lifelong advocate for the public interest. David led the Texas League of Conservation Voters and fought for voting rights at the Brennan Center for Justice. He is running to give District 5 a real voice, with a promise not to vote on major projects without community approval first, a clear contrast with an incumbent who backed the billion-dollar Amazon giveaway.

For Austin City Council, District 9
Informed, unafraid, and unbought. A former UT educator with three decades working on Austin's neighborhoods and land use, Rich is running to protect neighborhoods from displacement, keep public assets public, and bring real transparency to City Hall, the backbone the current council has been missing.

Before we endorse, we look for candidates who meet a clear standard: fair taxation, open and ethical government, protected neighborhoods, clean water, real climate action, and an economy that serves the people who live here.
Our record
Before this election, Austin United and allied neighbors fought for the places that make this city worth protecting.
We helped lead the effort behind the Zilker Vision Plan fight, which was stopped on August 9, 2023. It drew citywide media attention and demonstrated what organized neighbors can accomplish.
We are engaged in the current fight over the massive Dog's Head Development in Austin's Eastern Crescent, standing with environmental advocates and affected neighborhoods.
